After posting my trick on how to hide drives in computer without using any software, I thought it would be really nice if only some of the important folders could only be hidden from others.
So today i found this new trick to hide your folders in Windows. This new trick does not require any software, so you just need to follow these steps:
Open My Computer, and open any drive where you want to keep the hidden files.
After creating the New Folder copy all the important files here that you want to hide.
Till here there's no trick applied, below is the main part to hide your folder.
Right click on the folder and select Rename from the context menu (or highlight the folder and press F2).
Tips: For keyboard shortcuts like above click here.
When renaming the folder, press Alt + 0162
After you have done the above you will notice no name in the folder.
That's now half of the trick of the trick is completed.
You just renamed a folder with a blank name. Now again Right click on the folder and click Properties.
Then go to Customize tab and click on Change Icons from Folder icons. A new window opens up where you will select the invisible icon menu as shown in the image below.
Click on OK after selecting the invisible icon menu and Apply the properties. That's it you just made a hidden folder.
